Strolling Truman campus

July 9, 2020

One morning we changed things up a bit and decided to walk on Truman's campus.  It was a pretty morning and we enjoyed our stroll around the quad.

he has walked these paths many, many times

There's just something about this building...

It is a family favorite for many reasons.

James and Rojina held their wedding reception here in 2016.

Daddy remembers riding his bicycle around campus in
1942 and admiring this beautiful building.

He thought it was the most magnificent building he had ever seen!

He now realizes the building was practically brand new at that time!

We enjoyed a few stories

Remembering the welding of the weathervane to always point NE...

Good ole Joe Baldwin watching over the quad

And then we come to this sacred spot... this is right about where Mama was standing
when Daddy met her in registration line for classes on June 4, 1954.

And the rest, as they say, is history.  :)
