Last visit to Broadlawn

June 11, 2022

Marvin and I went by the Broadlawn house to see how the final clearing out was going.  Jonathan was there helping watch Mav when we arrived.  J&B are working hard to get the house looking good for showing.  I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this house.  It was a real home to J&B and the home they brought Maverick to when he was born.  It is pretty and happy and housed part of my beloved family well.  I hope whoever buys this home will love it and live life well in it.

It is a pretty house.  J&B did a nice job of upgrading it with new paint color, removing the popcorn ceiling, painting the fireplace and re-doing the kitchen.

Jonathan was swinging Mav in the backyard and watching the rope - saying it didn't look so good.  Good eye, Jonathan!  You see his hand on the rope?  He is seeing potential problems and is already protecting Mav.

Sure enough, it broke soon after this photo and fell - but Mav didn't hit the ground hard because Uncle Jonathan had it.  What a cared for little boy.

Mav was happily playing with the remaining toys there - he is just such a truly happy kid.

Thank you, yellow house!  You were good to my family!

J&B's Christmas Party

Marvin and I hosted a Christmas party for many years.  We would alternate with Julie and that worked well for a long time.  But I think 2015 was the last time any of us did that.  It got to be too hectic to pull off hosting a big gathering.  This year Jackson and Brianna decided to 'pick up the mantle' and host their own Christmas party.  How fun!  We certainly enjoyed being invited to join in! We had a lovely evening at J&B's beautiful home.
