We are so proud of dear Jonathan! He graduated from high school in May. He plans to continue on at MACC (he took a few classes there this past year, his senior year of high school). His graduation party was Friday, May 25. It was a great evening with family and friends and we were all glad to celebrate Jonathan. His buddy, Zack, was even able to drive up from Arkansas - what a special treat!
Jonathan is a kind hearted, deep thinking, quiet and thoughtful young man. He is the epitome of 'still waters'. He is always watching and ready to lend a hand. He still gives me hugs (which I cherish). He takes good care of his Dad. He is a hard worker and knows how to buckle down and get things done. He has a wickedly funny sense of humor, if you are lucky enough to hear it! Everyone thinks of him as shy (and he is) but if you put in the time and effort to get to know him, he is the most loyal and true friend you can find. He may not always show you how he is feeling, but he feels more deeply than most. He is a truly fine young man and we sure do love him. We are so proud of him and excited to see what his future holds.
Once again, dear Brenda decorated for us. She is fabulous!!

Dear Jim wrote one of his 'famous' poems for Jonathan's graduation. But first, he found some Better Than Bouillon in the cabinet and presented it to Jonathan as 'Better than Bowling'. Jim, the originator of 'Dad jokes'. :D ha!
There were quite a few 'inside' jokes that came from many years of hanging out under the awning at the state fair. I love these two very much!

| Jonathan and Jim - two special fellas, indeed. |
Everyone knows that I cry at the drop of a hat. Especially if I have any strong feeling for the moment. So we all knew I was a goner when I tried to welcome folks to Jonathan's party. He had told me that I wasn't allowed to cry and yet right on cue, I got choked up. To my surprise, Jonathan stepped in and 'saved me'. He welcomed the group and thanked them for coming. I turned to look at my grown up son and my heart just swelled. (and that certainly did not help me to STOP crying!!) ;) I am so proud of the fine young man that Jonathan has become.
