History

Daddy dropped by my house last week and asked me to take a few photos for him.  "Sure," I said.  Then he explained what he wanted the photos for - to 'remember' his favorite pair of jeans.  It turns out that Mama finally gave him an ultimatum about wearing these jeans in public.  :D  She has been patching them for him for about 25 years and she finally told him they were no longer appropriate to wear out of the house!  :D  So, we took a few photos to remember them by.

Here are Daddy's words about these jeans...  "When I got home from my daily walk, Sue wanted my jeans!  She said they were going to a place from which jeans do not return.  They were my favorite jeans and I have enjoyed them for at least 25 years.  Sue has taken excellent care of them until now.  She has put beautiful patches in several places.  They, in my opinion, are (were) really in style.  She also said that they do not look good with my Troester's sport coat.  Anyway, I was hoping I could get some sympathy from you."  ;)

One of the many reasons these jeans are so special.  He wore them the last time he rode a horse - in July 2014.  This was following his hip surgery in November 2013.  He and Governor (and his jeans!) sure looked good!  :D

Just to let you all know... I am now the owner of these jeans and will save them to use toward making a baby blanket or some such item at some point in the future.  Couldn't let all this history just go in the trash!   :D
