Drive by bird seed toss

What an honor it was to be part of a wonderful surprise 'drive by bird seed toss' for a lovely young couple who got married in April.  They were originally planning to be married on May 30, but because of covid-19 so many plans were up in the air and they decided to just go ahead and be married in April with a small, private, family ceremony.  We were so impressed with their focus on what is most important... the marriage.  When we learned that we could drive past the church as they exited the building, we were so excited!  There were 7 cars in our group (Hootenanny folks) and we met in the Methodist Church parking lot to await the text from the bride's Dad to head that way.  When he let us know they were out front of their church, we convoyed that direction, honking our horns, yelling congratulations, and tossing bird seed at them.  :)  It was so much fun!  The bride and groom were surprised and we received so much joy in getting to participate, just this little bit, with them on their very special day.  I am just so happy we could be a part of a happy surprise in support of them and their great love and courage.

I took photos of all the participants - we were socially distancing in the parking lot prior to driving over.  :)
