Quilt of Honor

We received a box in the mail last week from a return address we didn't recognize.  It was addressed to Marvin so I waited until he came in from the horse barn to open it.  Very quickly I realized that it was going to be something special, so grabbed my camera.  But neither of us could have imagined just HOW special it would turn out to be.  This beautiful gift that arrived in the mail for my dear husband is something called a Quilt of Honor.  http://quiltsofhonor.org   Oh my goodness!  What an amazing surprise.

We had never heard of this organization, but they included a letter and a brochure detailing the work of this non-profit group.  What a remarkable ministry they have!  We are so humbled and honored that Marvin received one of these beautiful quilts.  We don't know who nominated him to receive this quilt, but if you are reading this, please accept our deep thanks and appreciation (and we would love to know who you are!).
