Puzzle #45 - Buffalo Games - Cities in Color Raining in Paris - 750 pieces

Puzzle #45

I almost gave up on this one.  Glad I persevered.  Turned out to be pretty and even enjoyable.  But early on I had a bad feeling about it.  Buffalo does that thing where pieces fit more than one place which is super obnoxious.  And it all looked pink and purple except for a few areas.  I came as close as getting the box open to start putting the puzzle away then I decided to just try a little bit more.  I was able to fill in the sky and upper right quadrant and that helped me keep going.  Should have taken a photo today of final progress... the last bits were the rain covered sidewalk/road and the building upper right side.  But I got it.  Buffalo does that dumb piece thing, but they do have a nice, large poster which is important to me.

Puzzle #39 - Buffalo Games - Aimee Stewart Family Campsite - 500 pieces

Puzzle #39

This puzzle had lots of fun, bright colors and images.  I didn't really do the 'search for the hidden images' thing... I saw them while putting the puzzle together so it felt a bit anti-climactic.  But that didn't diminish from my enjoyment of the puzzle.  This truly had the elements of a good, relaxing puzzle experience.

The poster that comes with Buffalo Games puzzles is nearly the size of their 500 piece puzzles.  I love that!

Puzzle #28 - Buffalo Games - Charles Wysocki Cocoa Break at the Copperfields - 500 pieces

Puzzle #28

These always look so tiny after finishing up a White Mountain!!  But I LOVE the oversized poster.  Why don't all puzzle companies do that????

I had been wanting to do this one for awhile.  I think because of the green barn. :)  Cute and fun puzzle.  Not hard but fun.  Same issue as with previous Buffalo puzzles - some pieces fit in multiple locations and you just have to figure it out.  I am not thrilled by that, but it wasn't as bad on this puzzle as it has been on others so it didn't annoy me as much.  Hardest parts were the snowy evergreen and the big tree in background.

Puzzle #24 - Buffalo Games - Americana Charles Wysocki Yankee Wink Hollow - 500 pieces

Puzzle #24

Nice puzzle, good pieces overall.  Love the large poster.

Had the same thing happen again... a whole row of about 7 pieces fit snugly and well in a place they didn't actually go.  Finally figured it out when another piece in the row didn't add in right.  Yes, it could be spotted if I really investigated every single piece I put down, but that is a bit much.  Sorry that this happens so often.  But I do still really like Buffalo quality.  Just annoying.

Funny thing.. there was one extra piece in the puzzle.  And I feel pretty certain that this is a duplicate.  I remember placing it once.  But couldn't spot it to take a photo of with the extra.

Puzzle #22 - Buffalo Games - Americana Country Store - 500 pieces

Puzzle #22 underway - looks so small compared to the last one!

This was certainly an easier puzzle than the last one!  I wanted a 'palate cleanser'  :D  Very nice puzzle overall.  Smaller pieces, but fairly clear.  LOVE the oversize poster to hold. Funny how a 500 piece feels so simple now.  But very relaxing.

Puzzle #17 - Buffalo Games - Cities in Color Sights of Venice - 750 pieces

The only issue I am having with this otherwise enjoyable puzzle is that twice now pieces (more than one together) have fit in a spot where they don't actually belong.  They are super close (which is why they visually look correct) but then other pieces that should go near don't fit and you have to determine which pieces fit but aren't right.  Frustrating.  And it isn't because I am forcing them or not paying attention to how things look.  I should have thought to take photos of the issue.  I will if I enounter it again. They are very nice size puzzle pieces, though.

Very fun puzzle.  Challenging but fun.  Good pieces overall except for those few issues with pieces fitting (remarkably well) in two different locations.  That was a tad bit frustrating.  However, overall, the pieces feel good in the hand, the colors are clear and discernible, and the picture was a lot of fun.

Puzzle #5 - Buffalo Games - Charles Wysocki The Three Sisters - 300 pieces

This was a balm to cover the frustration of that last one!  ha!  Simple, easy, sweet picture.  The images on the pieces actually looked like the puzzle was supposed to.  And I did love the larger poster included, too - especially since the box was small.  I now know this is offered in 1000 pieces, as well.  I think I would enjoy putting that one together, too.  This really was a lovely and relaxing puzzle.  Pretty sure I would enjoy hanging out with these 'three sisters'.  :)
