Selling Chloe

This was a big day for Jackson.  He sold sweet Chloe for a pretty good price.  I kind of hated to see her go!  Chloe is the filly that was born here at Willis Creek Ranch not quite a year ago and I just feel attached to her.  But, these horses are to be sold... so I can get on board.  I imagine one reason I feel attached to Chloe is because Mama was here and saw her the next day and heard the story of Chloe's difficult birth.  It was such a family thing.  Plus, Chloe is a pretty thing.  But that price she sold for made it impossible to do otherwise.  I know her new owners are happy to have her. 

Jonathan took these final photos of her for me.  I really appreciated that. 

I admit I sometimes get nervous about strangers coming here to buy a horse.  I guess that is why my stalker tendencies come out.  :) Anyway, this was a nice couple from Wisconsin. They even spent the night at the fairgrounds the night before since they were in their horse trailer with living quarters.  They had been in Oklahoma and were traveling back home, but came through here to pick up Chloe.  It all worked out well.

Carrie and Kiersten visit

Dear Carrie and Kiersten had a friend, Anna, visiting from New York City.  They brought her by to see the horses.  It was wonderful to meet her and we all enjoyed showing her the barn and a few of the horses.

These cats were so funny... they were sitting at the top of the hay bales watching Declan as he kept trying to figure out how he could get up to them.  :D  So funny!  

He made it this far but decided (rightly) that he might be better off just going back down and getting some love from Anna.  :D 

The cats approved of his decision.  :D

Back inside... Mav was enjoying the markers that only appear on the special Blues Clues paper - not on his hands or the walls.  :)  Great invention!
