A listing of some of Maverick's favorite things!  Books and YouTube videos.  These lists will grow with time as Mav grows and changes.  



Books

See, Touch, Feel: A First Sensory Board Book - This was such a favorite of Mav's for so long... I now get this book as a baby gift because I know it will be loved!

This was a favorite of Jackson and Jonathan and even James. Now Mav loves it, too.

Big Frank's Fire Truck  - Leslie McGuire

Melissa and Doug Poke-A-Dot Emergency Vehicles - all the Poke-A-Dot books are so good.

Melissa and Doug Reusable Sticker Pad - not a book but boy has he used these over and over.  He likes to stick them up on our sliding glass doors or dining room windows.

This is another book we have from the old days, but if you can find a used copy, it would be worth your time.  It has been a favorite across all the generations.  
The Fire Engine - Gail Herman

Another firefighter book that is a current favorite - 
Curious George and the Firefighters - H.A. Rey

Everyone loves Goodnight Moon (including Mav) but he also loves this book by the same author - The Big Red Barn - Margaret Wise Brown

This is a new favorite - White Rabbit's Color Book - Alan Baker

I have no idea why, but this is currently Mav's favorite book.  :D  Rather macabre!! hahaha!
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly - Simms Taback

All the old Cat in the Hat books are wonderful but Mav does especially love Go Dog Go by P.D. Eastman

These videos are for all ages and you will find as Maverick gets older the video content grows with him.  :)  I just continue to add to the list with new favorites.  


Mav loves Bob the Builder.  He likes the new version more than the 'classic' version.  Here is the main Bob the Builder channel.

Carl's Car Wash is definitely a favorite.  Who knew you could make kids YouTube videos all about a car wash and they would be so mesmerizing?  ha!

Here are just a couple favorites - but you can't go wrong with any of the Carl's Car Wash episodes.  :D

Cocomelon had the very first video that Mav ever asked to watch over and over... he was not even a year old but boy did he love their Wheels on the Bus video!  Here is a link to their main page on YouTube.  They put out good content, especially for the littler ones.

Laurie Berkner was making exceptional kids music when Jackson and Jonathan were little - and she is still at it!  Her channel is wonderful and much loved by Mav.

Trash Truck is a wonderful series on Netflix - but here is a compilation video on YouTube that can do in a pinch.  


This is a great YouTube channel - Twenty Trucks.  They create original songs to go along with videos of construction equipment and trucks.  Great site!

The Wiggles were a favorite of Jackson and Jonathan and now a newer version is one of Mav's favorites.  However, I have to say he much prefers the videos that include Emma (with Lachy, Simon, and Anthony) to any post Emma.
