July 30, 2020 - early steps of training. When you are preparing a horse to be ridden for the first time, you spend a lot of time doing ground work. That includes simply getting them used to having a saddle on. That is a shock to a horse when they first feel it. Here, Jackson has Bella saddled and is now putting some weight on the saddle. A pretty big step toward actually getting on for the first time.
August 6, 2020 - This was not the first time Jackson rode Bella... probably the 3rd time. But the first time we got photos or video. (thanks to Jonathan!)
Thankful to Jonathan for taking these photos and even some video for me!! :)
Jackson has now ridden Bella multiple times. More photos and some video to come in future posts. :)
