This recipe was making the rounds through several friends on facebook back in April. I gave it a try and they were indeed yummy! Good comfort food, especially at that point in time. :)
1 ¼ cup water (can use ¼ cup dry white wine and 1 cup water)
½ cup milk or half and half
1 ½ cubes knorr chicken bouillon
2 Tbsp. butter
1 ¼ cup noodles (curly, flat, rotini, whatever you prefer)
¼ tsp. garlic powder
3 pinches dried parsley
1 dash black pepper
¼ cup sour cream (stirred in after cooking just before serving)
In a large pot combine all ingredients except the sour cream. On medium heat, bring just to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until noodles are tender. Add extra water if needed (probably won't be needed) Remove from heat and let sit for about 5 minutes to thicken sauce.
You can add meat to make this a main dish, but I really liked it as a comforting side dish. You could use beef bouillon to make this more like stroganoff.
