Early the morning of August 1, Jackson, Brianna, and Jonathan set off for a little town in western Illinois to pick up a new weanling filly. Jackson wanted to get another filly the same age as Chloe to make the weaning process go easier and give Chloe a 'friend' to run with.
There she is! She is about the same age as Chloe, 3 weeks older, in fact. But she is smaller. She is a registered quarter horse and is called a dark buckskin. She is really dark and sort of bronzy. Pretty little thing!
Jackson has named this filly Luna.
I do love that Willis Creek Ranch has come alive again - all these young horses and activity.
Jackson and the fellas hanging out - letting Luna get a sense of the place - and get somewhat used to them.
Jonathan checking on Chloe and Roxie across the hall - they were wondering what was going on! :)
