Jackson and Brianna were packing up the camper to head to the Missouri State Fair so we got babysit Maverick for the day. This was his first opportunity to come
meet Goose. They will definitely be best buds - as soon as Goose quits running from Maverick! ha! I can't wait to watch them both grow up together.
When Jackson and Maverick first arrived we were all sitting on the front porch with Goose. As Maverick came around we told him to look and see if there was something new. He spotted Goose and just stood there, so intrigued. This is certainly a smaller dog than he is used to! :) He watched carefully and I couldn't believe when he immediately got the name right - he was saying "Goose" very clearly! We then laughed when we realized this could cause confusion in the future when he discovers there is a real animal called a goose that looks absolutely nothing like our little Goosey. ha! Oh well... cross that bridge when we come to it. :)

| come out and play, Goose! |

| checking out his sandbox - ready to play! |

| back to trying to get Goose to come out! |
 |
| I know I can get him to come out and play! |

| Maverick telling GranGran about Goose and sand boxes and what he has been up to. :D |
 |
| Now was the time to pick up Goose! Or attempt to... :D |
Goose ran and hid under my chair. Maverick came running and flopped down fully on the ground - going in after him. :D Made me laugh!
We set up Maverick's 'ball pit' today. It was definitely a hit! :D
This boy can eat! Cheerios, carrots, and a full sized toasted cheese sandwich. He ate for almost 40 minutes! ha!

Back at play. This look below gets me - feels like a window into the 8 year old Maverick of the future.
