Another wonderful day with Maverick. The sun was shining and even though it was still chilly (as it had been all week) it seemed like the perfect day to fill the sand box with new sand. Maverick and I were watching from the door as GranGran opened several bags and dumped them in.
...but he quickly decided the sand box was pretty fun. Look at that cute face!
He took me to his swing and patted it so I put him in and we started swinging. This thing always lulls him almost immediately to sleep! hahahaha!
We had a perfect view of his Dad and GranGran moving Roxie and Chloe from the octagonal pen to the round pen. Maverick's face watching them cracks me up!
Then the guys got back to work on setting up the pool. Marvin had been doing some pre-set up this week, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate. Today was the day they needed to get it actually set up, though, since winds and rain are coming back starting tomorrow sometime. This makes me excited!
Maverick and I walked over to supervise. :) He wanted Uncle Jonathan to give him a closer look.
Then his Dad helped him check out the inside of the pool. :) Water is just starting to come in - two hoses set up, but it will still take quite awhile.
We had lunch with Mama and Daddy, which was lovely. We just ordered some Bellacinos because I let the morning really get away from me. Scott and Heidi came out after lunch. It was so nice to see them and get to visit a bit.
After his nap, Maverick decided he wanted to 'drive the tractor' with GranGran. :)
What a happy guy! (both of them, actually!)
And here comes Jackson on Bailey.
Maverick spotting his Daddy.
Got to go say hi to Bailey! (yes, FedEx is a regular visitor out here...) ;)
Maverick and his Daddy riding Bailey.
Maverick wanted to show his Daddy the sand box. :)
I had to laugh, though. He didn't like the feel of the sand on his bare feet. So he stood outside the sand box playing by reaching in. Then he went to the sliding glass door to the house and patted on it... like he wanted back inside. We went in and he went to his shoes. So I put his socks and shoes back on him and back outside we went... where he then got INTO the sand box. Ha! Happy to be in the sand if he has on his socks and shoes, but not barefoot! Cracked me up!
Always something to watch out here... Marvin was bringing the big salt water pump to the pool in the front end loader. Jackson rode up on Bailey and then got off and placed it on the platform by the pool.
It is a slow process to fill the pool, but oh so exciting!
