Father's Day

June 20

Daddy was home from the hospital in time for Father's Day.  He was still very weak but was home and on the road to recovery - so we definitely felt the celebratory mood - even if we didn't do a big party.  :)

The skies were interesting all day long.  This was about 10:30 that morning.  A glimpse perhaps of what was to come later that night?

That is not a handkerchief Jackson is holding up to his face - it is Maverick (receiving a zerbet on his tummy!)  :D  hahahaha!  I'm a big fan of this Daddy (and his family).

These two photos of Maverick just looked so much like Jackson did - it caught me by surprise.  :)

We did gather for dinner together that evening - very low key.

After dinner Andrew and Chiara brought their guest book from their wedding out for our family to sign since we had participated in the drive by birdseed toss.  So sweet!  It was a magnificent guest book made by a family member - stunning!  And it was such an honor to get to sign it.  We all signed and then realized we needed to get them out of there quickly as a big storm was approaching....

That storm was a doozy!  The winds weren't too bad, but oh my goodness... the lightning was insane!  It sounded like bombs were dropping all around us!  No damage here, though, thankfully.
