Friday night of the family reunion

Our annual family reunion was in Kansas City this year.  We all converged on Joe, Sarah, Liz, Margaux and Brendain and they provided us with a memory filled whirlwind weekend.  What a joy to be together!!  We are blessed with family ties.

Everyone from here got on the road at different times, but we all ended up arriving at our Airbnb about the same time.  In fact, when we stopped for gas and ice cream at Cameron, I looked over and spotted Zac's car in the parking lot.  :)  Sure enough, Zac, Hannah, and Megan were in there eating a late lunch.  Hannah said she had told Zac that 'my family always stops at this gas station'.  Sure enough!  :)  ha!

Marvin wasn't able to come to this reunion because he was having some stomach issues.  That was sad and a tough decision for him to make, but he made the right one.  Thankfully, he is doing better now.  I think it might have been a bug.

We were able to rent two sides of a big duplex through Airbnb for our whole family.  All of Jack and Sue's kids and grandkids were able to be together there.  That was wonderful!

Mama and Daddy stayed at Joe and Sarah's house - ground zero for most of the reunion.  Their home sits right on a lovely lake and they have a perfect view out the entire backside of their house.  So many windows!!  And that patio!  Dear Joe and Sarah were such kind hosts and showered them and all of us with so much affection and graciousness.  They made us all feel so at home.

Margaux and Brendain cooked up a ton of yummy BBQ for our whole crew for Friday nights meal.  Delicious!!  After dinner the music began.  Joe played the piano and everyone joined in - singing or even dancing.  The perfect end to a wonderful evening.
