An evening with friends

Mother's Day evening we gathered with the B family at their home to relax, eat snacks, and do a little wedding planning.  :D  What a great way to spend an evening!

Alaina is a true 'duck-whisperer'!  Her pet ducks were on the far side of the pond, underneath some overhanging trees.  She wanted to show them to us so simply went on the back deck and started calling to them.  No joke - they swam across the entire pond, then climbed out and waddled across the yard right to her.  That was one of the funniest things I have seen!  :D

This was so neat!!!  Peggie, Brianna's grandmother, had brought this quilt to her this weekend.  It is a band quilt made out of Brianna's old band t-shirts and the retired band uniform that we got at the band fundraiser dinner last year.  Fantastic!  I absolutely love it!  What a wonderful memento for Brianna.
