November Wine Club

I really look forward to this gathering each month.  :)  This is definitely a good part of my 50th year!  :)  For the month of November our wine club studied Pinot Noir.  We had a large group in attendance and a large number of wines and food to sample.  We learn something every month and have a lot of fun in the process.

Pinot Noir is considered perhaps the best wine for cooking/pairing with food.  It is well known as the key ingredient for a good Beef Bourguignon or a tasty Coq a Vin.  It can come off a bit 'barnyardy'... (and yes, there were some of us around the table that would agree with that description).  But I think Pinot Noir (or Burgundy) is meant to be appreciated and paired with food.  (Although, as you can see from my tasting sheet, this is not my favorite wine!)
