On this particular evening we had the potential for big storms, maybe even tornadoes to come through. The skies starting really acting up - lots of lightning and sounds. It was beautiful outside - mesmerizing really. The prediction of baseball size hail put us all into action, though... getting vehicles under roofs. My car was still up at the mechanic's (sitting outside) so nothing could be done for it. But we got the two tractors in the barns. I warned Brian about the impeding storm and he attempted to put his truck in his barn, but Nancy's camper was in there and it made the space for the truck just a few feet too short. So he brought his truck up to our garage to park it. Jonathan went down to Daddy's house to be there in case he needed help getting to the basement. We were not upset that nothing really happened. Here, that is. Not far from here there were tornadoes and softball sized hail. But it all pretty much missed us this time.
A glorious sunset.
Perfect evening on the back patio.

The only thing nicer than a May sky is the sight of my wonderful husband walking into the barn to finish up chores - late - after spending the day working on building a covered deck for me. What a wonderful man.
