Maverick - first week in May

Tuesday, May 4

We enjoyed babysitting Maverick on Tuesday.  He loves to play the piano.  He also loves carrying his cheerios container everywhere he goes.  :) 

For Maverick's afternoon snack I opened up a can of sliced carrots.  They are perfect for him because they are soft and easy to pick up.  He loved them.  He is really experimenting with using silverware.  He took that spoon right out of my hand and held it - then used it to help stir the bowl and attempt to pick up the carrots.  Pretty impressive how he was holding it and working the spoon.

Thursday, May 6

Thursday morning was chilly so we stayed inside.  Maverick spent some good time looking at his books on the sofa.  

I think he is a natural born reader!  He certainly has the interest.

Ha!  He had dropped a book and was about to go after it.  Thus this is the last photo of this series.  :) 

This boy is eating all the time!  This afternoon it was blueberries (a favorite of his) and cut up grapes.

Again, he took that spoon right out of my hand and was utilizing it.  He is always watching and learning.  :) 

GranGran was making vibrations on his head that made him giggle...

I was taking photos and Maverick decided he wanted my camera/phone.  :) 

"I'll take that, Grandma!"   :)

What a beautiful afternoon it turned out to be!  The wind quieted down, the sun came out shining, and it was no longer cold.  Lovely!

Maverick wanted to sit on the gravel and play.

Then he heard the tractor coming and was looking around me to spot it...

Sure enough... it was his Daddy!  He jumped in and was immediately 'driving'.  :) 

He was ready to work with Daddy.  

Off they go to do big things!  :)
