We hosted the annual summer potluck on July 15. The weather wasn't horribly hot, but there was absolutely no wind - certainly not the norm out here at Willis Creek Ranch! We had a wonderful turnout and some of the best potluck food ever!! What a great evening spent visiting with friends old and new.

These potlucks have always been about connecting people. One of the nicest things people can say to me is to tell me they met someone new and wonderful at our house! I believe that now, more than ever, we must connect. There is much that unites us. We are community.
This year I wanted to highlight Take Root Cafe. We are so blessed to have this wonderful non-profit restaurant and community center in our town. Jessica and Tracy came here with a dream and they have persevered to see it come to fruition. In the summer, when all the college students are gone and families are vacationing, it can be harder to keep a place going. We placed this tip jar on the dessert table so that folks could show their support and encouragement by tossing in a bit of change for Take Root.
