Well, work is coming along on the revamping of Anna and Matthew's little house. I want to keep up with the progress here on the blog as a record of all the work. Granted, it doesn't look like much right now, but as part of the big picture, it shows how much progress has been made. There is still a lot to do, but I am confident it will get finished on schedule. Here are some photos...
Matthew and Julie in the entryway. You can see that all wallpaper & carpet is gone from throughout the house plus, everything has been primed and is ready for new paint. Those steps alone make the whole house feel so much brighter and light-filled. Along with painting, they will be putting down an indoor/outdoor carpet in this entry/porch room.

Wow! That is a lot of work done (and to be done). Who is doing all the work? What a great house!
ReplyDeleteMarvin tore down the 'mother-in-law' house. :) Daddy, Mama and the boys did a good portion of the inside work preparing for Lewellen's to come in and do major cleaning. Now Jeremy Hettinger is doing finish work. Finally, Julie has a guy that will come in to repair and restore the floors. We will still do the painting, etc. Basically, anything that we are ABLE to do, we are doing to save on costs. But, the major stuff like deep cleaning, sheetrock and flooring we are hiring out. It will be nice when it is finished. Wish you were here to see it!! :)

ReplyDeleteThat IS a lot done! The painting will happen fast and doesn't require extremely skilled help, so that is a bonus! It's really looking sweet. How exciting!
