Work is coming along on
Anna and Matthew's little house. Marvin successfully got the 'mother-in-law' shed torn down. What a job that was! Although the roof was completely caved in, the sides were many layers thick and quite strong. Plus, it was full of junk that had to be sorted through and removed mostly by hand. So far the fellas have taken two trailer loads of trash to the dump (with at least one more load to take) and that is after burning as much as possible. Whew!
Carpet is up in the living room, revealing a lovely hardwood floor. There is a section in the middle that is going to require some attention but Julie has a floor guy coming soon and it should be fixable. Major refurbishment is happening in the bathroom and kitchen areas, as well. Good thing we have until August to get the house ready for Anna and Matthew! :)
But, truly it is a labor of love and is heartening to see the progress. Although the photos probably don't show the change very vividly, things really are moving along. I'll try to keep updating through the spring and summer months. Aug. 3 is the wedding day and all will be finished by then.
