Megan's big move

June 29-30, 2020

The day came for Megan to pick up her moving truck.  She offered to go get cattle panels and some other items for Julie for the garden.  That worked perfectly because the oversized items fit in the moving truck!  Thanks Megan!

Then she was off to load up her belongings in anticipation of her move.

That evening she and Hannah came by for one last look...
You can see the cattle panels set up in the garden in this photo.

sweet Hannah

Megan gave all the wine club ladies a cute coaster.
This is mine.  Love it!

She also made jewelry for me, Mama and Julie.
This is my beautiful bracelet.

The next morning she and Hannah came by Willis Creek Ranch on their way out of town, so we could see them and send them off with pictures and a wave good-bye.

She hadn't yet seen the note Zac had stuck on the windshield
of the truck... so I mentioned there was something on there.  :)

Didn't want her to drive off with it still on the windshield!

She and Hannah were both surprised!

Such a sweet thing for Zac to do.  :)

Hannah drove Megan's car for her since
Megan was driving the moving truck.

About ready to get on the road.

Megan and Hannah did one last
porch visit with Grandma and Grandpa.

I love this picture of Megan leaving their yard...
ready for her new adventure!

We wish you all the best, Megan!  We know we will see you again!  But until then, Godspeed.  :)

Working Bella and Shadow

June 29, 2020

I was cooking dinner one evening when I realized Jackson was working Bella in the octagonal pen.  I stopped what I was doing and went out to take a few photos.  It was hard to get a good one from the back patio (because the grass/hayfield was so high) and I didn't dare get too far from the stove.  :)

I then spotted Marvin waiting at the gate with Shadow and realized Jackson was going to work both horses.

I got to a stopping point (who needs supper anyway?)   ;)  and then went out and climbed up on the pool deck so I could get a better view.  What a magnificent sky!  This was late afternoon and it was just spectacular weather.  Perfect day to work horses.  :)

Now Marvin has Bella...

... and Jackson is going to work Shadow

Jackson shows real talent... just like his Dad.

Feeling pretty good.  :)

Here is a little video from the evening...

Sunday lunch - June 28

June 28, 2020

Another wonderful Sunday lunch.  This time we did carry out from Kings Buffet.  Yum!!  We again set up tables in Mama and Daddy's front yard.  Our social distancing and quarantined groups were slightly shifted... Megan was now in the social distancing group with Hannah and Zac since she went out of quarantine attending her wonderful wine club send-off.

I just laugh every time I look at this photo...
Marvin and I definitely have pandemic hair!!

Yummy Kings Buffet!

I took this photo of the three taking a selfie...

...was happy Hannah sent me the selfie!  :)

Looks like Daddy got a picture of them, too.  :)

This was our last time to see Melina for awhile...

...she got a job in Utah and left the area just a few days after this.
