Senior Missouri Waltz Day at the fair.  One of my favorites!  I always look forward to this dance contest on Wednesday at the fair.  Many of my favorite couples from over the years no longer compete, but I still enjoy watching and cheering on new favorites.  All my fellas have gone from mocking me over the years to joining me!  (They may still mock me a little, but I think they enjoy it themselves now, too!)  :)

This was a stormy day all around.  We dodged storms multiple times during the day (and into the evening as you will see.)

Marvin and I heading to Touchstone Energy Stage.

Hotel California group again!

Then we rode the tram around - taking photos as we went by.

no more tents, but our 4 camping units look cozy.  :)

We met the boys back at Mathewson Center at 5:00 for the pulling horse contest.  We attend this each year in honor of Uncle Harold.

After the pulling contest we decided to get tenderloins at Trucks for supper.  We realized yet another storm was coming so got the food to go - taking it back to the camper.

About the time we finished eating we heard an evacuation notice go out through the campground.  Strong winds and heavy rain were on their way.  Mama and Daddy took me and Marvin to Mathewson on the golf cart - the boys walked.

When we arrived at Matthewson Center the pulling horse teams were still loading up.  Because of the storm warnings a couple of them just pulled their big rigs into the arena.  I have to share this funny story.  We were all sitting there admiring the beautiful, big rig you see on the left side of the arena when suddenly we heard another rig coming in.  We looked out and saw the HUGE rig in the center of the photo pull into that arena.  Wow!  What a setup!  Who knew that arena could look small???   We ended up really enjoying watching all of this.  Almost better than the pulling horse show!  :) ha!

Finally got the 'all clear' and headed back to the campsite.
