1st Sunday of the fair - Military Appreciation Day

Before everyone split up for the day, I got a short video clip to send to Eric who had requested creative ways to help him ask Nikolee if she would marry him.  We had the 'kids' use sign language to tell Nikolee to 'say yes'.  (Eric would edit out any sound - he just wanted the visual.  Still, it took us a few tries!)  We were happy to hear that, of course, she said yes!  :)

Marvin and I went to hear the Morton Sisters sing at the Ditzfield Stage.  The fellas walked around the fair a bit.  Hannah and Brianna enjoyed riding rides together.  They took some fun photos.

We all met up at Mathewson Center at 2:00 pm for the Military Appreciation Ceremony.

when the motorcycles rev their engines, it is loud!  :)

After the ceremony, Marvin and went to the Pork Place and got BLT's.  Yummy!  I also bought my 'faircation' shirt.  I usually wait until the end of the fair to buy my yearly t-shirt, but I didn't want them to run out of this one!  Finally, we had to have our ice cream at Gerkens!  :)

Many folks left out on this day.  Short fair for Jackson and Brianna because of Jackson's new job.  I know he isn't happy about that, but it is for a good reason.  And while many left, we had a few arrive. Mitch got to the fair this evening, as did Megan and Jeff.  So, we are ready for the new week!
