Random December

Snippets from the month of December 2020 that didn't find their way into other posts.

I love my wine club ladies so much!  We have stuck with it throughout 2020... meeting on zoom.  It isn't the same as being in person (and we can't WAIT to be back in person in 2021!) but it has been a special time with dear friends and I am so grateful for them all.  We have begun to watch a Great Courses series together called The Instant Sommelier.  It is informative and interesting.  Not nearly as fun and wacky as our beloved Wine Folly lady, but we are enjoying it.  :)

Found out Lisa and I have the same t-shirt...
when it's right, it's right!  ha!  :D

Our wonderful church service online - thankful for our church leaders.

Brianna sent me this adorable photo of Maverick.  He is a contented little guy and plays so well.  He stays busy and is curious.  Great qualities!

Candace and Kerry have had more snow than we have so far in 2020.  They sent us this photo from one of their morning walks.

Monday night, December 21, was to be the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter and the night was clear so we could see it!  Julie and I went with Mama and Daddy driving around town to look at Christmas lights.  We were able to see the conjunction and the lights and it was a wonderful evening.  Truly wonderful to have that time together.  And it felt like a real outing since we never drive around anywhere anymore!  Riding around Kirksville streets was so exciting!  :)  We ended up over at Jackson and Brianna’s house and felt they had as pretty decorations as any other house we saw.  Their house is so pretty and homey and ‘them’.  I love it.

View from my parents front yard... so peaceful.  Love the Christmas lights on their little evergreens.

Do you see that bright speck in the upper right quadrant of this photo?
That is the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter!  It was quite visible to us and special to see.

Jackson and Brianna's pretty house all decorated for Christmas.

Another wonderful visit with Maverick and his parents.  :)

This was such a pretty day.  The sky was luminous.  Jackson was keeping an eye on Jim who was in the octagonal pen for the very first time.  He wasn't so happy about it!  :)
