What a great day!!
The weather was strange for most of the day. We awoke to a gray, dreary, and cold morning. The north wind was bitter and it tried to rain a little bit. We had no idea what to wear for graduation that afternoon (outside at Stokes stadium). We decided to trust the forecast that it would turn out to be sunny and warm. Boy... did it! By the end of graduation we were all burned to a crisp! It felt like at least 2 weather days in one, that is for sure! :)
We had decided to go early and stake out a place to sit on the grassy area east of the stadium. That was a great idea. (We will do it again next year when we return for Brianna's Masters degree!) We had breeze, a good view, and a little space. I can't imagine how hot the stands got during the graduation ceremony...

I was so glad Shonda captured this moment after the ceremony - it brings me to tears every time I see it! Jackson and Brianna spotted each other and ran to embrace. So sweet and wonderful. So thankful for them.
