Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2018 started off especially sweetly when our church recognized graduating high school seniors - and this year, Jonathan is one of them!  You can see him standing on the far right in the blue shirt.  We are so proud of him!  His graduation party isn't until May 25, so you can be sure that you will be seeing a few more posts all about him between now and then!  :D

This isn't my photo, nor are they all 'my kids', but I claim them all in my heart!  So I thought I would just share it here.  :)  Besides, Shonda and I have this 'co-Momming' thing down pretty well, so I don't think she would mind.  :)

Shonda stood correctly to make the picture work... I didn't get that memo.  :D  :D  :D

Shonda and Laura

Thankful to be a 'co-Mom' with this lady.
(We have been told that calling ourselves
'Sister/Moms' might give a wrong impression...)
;)  ha!

Matt, Brenda, and Melina

Laura, Peggie, and Shonda

We were trying to get a good photo of Shonda and Peggie -
but the wind was not cooperating!

It kept blowing their hair around and into each others faces...

:D

you should see the ones I didn't post!  :D

there were some pretty good ones...  :)

:)

Matt and Jonathan B headed to the pond for some good fishing!

Although my sweet Mama wasn't feeling quite up to joining in for all the festivities at lunch, I was able to spend time with her afterward.  She is doing well with her recovery - but is trying to take it easy and be smart.  However, if you look carefully, you can see her (with Daddy) walking in her yard to check out the area in front of their bedroom (near that big ole tree on the right).  I am so blessed to have a Mama like her.  Grateful every day!

Finishing up graduation day

I took so many photos on graduation day that I had to break it all up into multiple posts.  This is the last one.  :)

After dinner we went back to the B house so Brianna could open her gifts.

Beautiful evening at the B house

super yummy cupcakes!!!!  Strawberry and chocolate.

our newest alumni - with the official t-shirt!  :)

Jackson and Moose are settled in.

Brianna will have her own brick at Truman in the new Sesquicentennial Plaza area.  This was a postcard showing a representation of what her brick will look like.

she has another mug with musical instruments on it, so this makes a 'set'  :)

and now they also have a set of these historic mugs -
from the Magruder Hall fundraising campaign years ago - a beaker mug.  :)

beautiful necklace

She loved this book from Shonda & Jeremy - The Remarkable Farkle McBride by John Lithgow

Brianna then read us all the story.

:)

opening her final gift

yes!!

hahahaha!  This is a duplicate of an item that Shonda has -
that Brianna wanted very much!

This is too funny... what is this thing, you might ask?  Well, it is a magical device that makes Shonda (and Brianna) feel wonderful.  It is a Cervical Neck Traction Device that Shonda got after her doctor recommended it for her neck pain.  Brianna tried it out and really wanted one of her very own.  And now she has it.  :D

you can pump it up to the desired fill level

I think she likes it...  ;)

she definitely likes it!  :D

we had to get a photo of Shonda and Brianna together with their devices   :)

this still makes me giggle!

and this one just makes me laugh!!!

hahahahaha!

Jackson and Peggie had to give them a try...

Peggie is not liking it!  Peggie is not liking it!!!

get it off, Shonda!!

Sorry... but LOL again!  :D

What is Jackson's verdict???

Hmmm....

Do you like it, Jackson?

Hahahaha!  Yes, he definitely likes it!  :D  :D  :D

:D

Shonda got hers back... Brianna may have to fight Jackson for hers...

And yes, I even have video.  Because... posterity.  :D

It was so very kind of David and Carolyn to remember Jonathan's upcoming high school graduation.  They gave him a lovely card and gift.
