Fondue!

Halloween day was spent with the M. family enjoying a throwback to the 70's... we gathered for a fondue party!  Brenda and Matt had been to a restaurant in St. Louis that was all fondue and loved it, so they decided to throw a fondue party with all of us.  It was great fun!

We had multiple fondue pots going... one with hot oil, one with hot broth, 2 different cheese pots, and even a chocolate pot for desserts.  They had stuffed meatballs, beef, mushrooms, potatoes, cheese sticks, breads, cracker & egg dips for coating all the above...   I have to say that I got pretty hooked on the mushrooms... either cooked in the hot broth or dipped in egg, then cracker crumbs, then cooked in the hot oil.  Yum!  And those stuffed meatballs were a close second!  :)  For dessert we had crescent roll strips with chocolate chips or pineapple, angel food cake, bananas, and caramel rice cakes to dip in the chocolate.

Very fun day with wonderful people!!!

Here are several pictures, but you can see an entire album of photos by clicking here.

Sweet Melina ended the day by having a visit with her beloved chickens.  I took these photos through the window of the house.  She was just too cute!!
