By mid-afternoon the sun was coming back out and the wind had picked up (nicely drying up some of the ground!). In fact, by the time we started with the official wedding photos, the light was truly magnificent! I cannot wait to see the photos that our dear friend and photographer,
Kelly Rogers, posts!

About 5:50 (with the wedding scheduled to begin at 6:30) the weather alert on my phone went off. I was standing next to my sister-in-law, Candace, as I looked incredulously at the radar showing yet another storm headed straight for us. Dear Candace saw what I saw and immediately started praying over that radar as she stood beside me. What comfort!

As we lined up to be escorted down the aisle, we felt raindrops begin to fall. But, the quartet played and we all walked with great joy in our hearts. Rain or shine, it was going to be a beautiful event! As the wedding began we watched in awe as the storm literally parted and went around us. The black clouds made for an impressive backdrop to the ceremony. It was absolutely perfect in every way.
More photos in the next post from the actual wedding and the reception that followed.
