Shonda sent me this sweet photo of Jackson and Brianna in front of the first church where Jeremy was pastor. They all visited there the Sunday after Thanksgiving as they were traveling in that area.
Marvin and I made a trip south for a doctors appointment and were intrigued by the sky as we were driving back home. Straight ahead of us was a brilliant blue sky - beautiful!!
But out my drivers window was the makings of a spring storm. Except, that it was the first week of December! This has definitely been a strange fall/winter weather-wise. I can't remember still having green grass this late in the year since... well, I don't know when.
I always look forward to the Bell Choir Christmas Cantata at my church. Such a special morning of worship.
I enjoyed spending the afternoon with some of the ladies I traveled with to the
Fresh Grounded Faith conference. We gathered to share our thoughts about the conference experience and the powerful ways we were touched by the weekend. So nice to reconnect in that way. We also got to use my selfie stick again! ha! :D
I attended the high school band and choir Christmas concert with the B. family. Alaina is percussion section leader this year. (standing up at the center back of the photo below.)
I got tickled at the end of the concert when the band director, Mr. H., had an audience member draw a name out of a jar to see who would be chosen to direct the final selection - a combined performance of all the various bands and choirs. Although she wasn't chosen, he told Brianna that her name had been in that jar as a possibility! :) ha!! (He knew she would be in attendance to see Alaina play.) Thoughts of the future... her future as a band director. :)
My friend, Karen, and I make it a habit to meet for coffee every few weeks just to catch up with each other. Since we rarely get a picture together I made a special effort to get one the last time we got together. Love this dear friend.
I was making dinner the other night when I happened to look outside and saw this incredible sky. Goodness, there have been SO many breathtaking skies lately. I have missed taking photos of most of them, but stopped what I was doing to take this one.
And then I went to the front of the house and took this one. Stunning evening.
I'm pretty excited and hopeful about this... I sent off 2 boxes filled with old VHS tapes and mini-DV tapes to a company called
LegacyBox. I have been aware of this company for awhile now, so when I saw a HUGE sale price earlier this month, I jumped on the opportunity. They will take all 40 of my old format tapes and transfer them to archival quality DVD's. I also ordered the thumb drives with all content from all 40 tapes. So far the process has been simple. I have high hopes and will definitely report back once I receive the DVD's.

Jonathan spotted this owl sitting on a fence post along our driveway as he headed to the movie theater the other day. Pretty cool!!
This made us laugh. This
extremely heavy box was delivered to our house. Marvin opened it up then started laughing. When I asked what was so funny he showed me this...

After you cut open the top flap, this is what you see underneath. :D Good to know! ha! |

Of course, THIS one was Jackson's personal favorite. :D
