Family Reunion - Dental School Tour

After lunch we toured the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health.  This time we were able to see one of the state of the art teaching labs and got a bonus - a tour of the ATSU Simulation Lab.  How fun!!  As we joked that afternoon, "What does YOUR family do during a family reunion?"  :)

This was nice - on every screen in the building.

fascinating!  See the 'dental patient' at the bottom?

Then we were greeted by the wonderful Director of the Simulation Lab, Lisa A.  She gave us a great tour, too!

We were pretty excited to gather around the simulated patient and experience that.  It has all physiological features like pulse, heartbeat, respiration.  It is even equipped to 'talk' to you if the person running the simulation chooses to.  It is to help teach the med students how to diagnose and treat patients.  Very cool!!

Here are 'most' of us... couldn't get the whole crew in one photo.  :)

After the tours of the labs, we gathered in a classroom to view a family slideshow and share stories.  :)
