Community Chorus Spring Concert

April 29, 2019
Mama, Daddy, and I attended the Community Chorus Spring Concert.  Both Hannah and Megan are a part of the chorus (along with many other friends) and we especially wanted to be there.  I have long loved attending this event, particularly the Christmas concert.

Megan pre-concert

Hannah spotted me!  :)

And now both Hannah and Megan!  :)

This was special... dear Rich came back and conducted one song for the 20th anniversary.  I will always think of him when I am in this place and hearing the chorus.

Megan and her fellow ATSU Medleys sang a song.

I grabbed this photo from facebook.  :)

Although Brian wasn't singing in the chorus this time around, most of his family was!  :)

Here is a video of the song The Medleys performed at the concert.

Ladies trip to Pella

In between going to performances of The Marvelous Wonderettes, I went to Pella, Iowa with the Cornerstone Ladies group.  :)  It was the annual trek up to Pella to see the beautiful tulips, buy the best pastries around, and just enjoy that lovely town.  We had a great day, as expected.  :)

This is sort of funny... Lora was actually getting ready to pray before
we left on the trip. But it looks like she was getting ready
to start our drag race.  :D

Car #1 - Shonda, Lora, Tiffany, Laura

Car #2 - Kathy, Cindi, Stephanie, Pam, and Marilyn

So, it wouldn't be a Cornerstone ladies trip without a "recalculating"
or a turn around... :D   I'm trying to explain things to Car #2.  :D

First stop in Pella is always the thrift store.  And yes, we found matching outfits again this year.  :D  ha!!!!

hahaha!

We may have bought a few items at the thrift store...

We got them all in!

Now to downtown Pella.

Lora, Laura, and Shonda standing in line at Jaarsma Bakery - totally worth the wait!

Tiffany got all of us in the picture together even though we were
in two different sections of the snaking line.  :D

You have to get a photo with the wooden shoes.  :)

:)

We couldn't get into any of the restaurants on the square - too busy.
So we walked over to Happy Joes Pizza for lunch.

Then it was time to wander through the shops around the square and look at all the beautiful tulips in the park.

These little blue bikes for rent caught our eye.

Even the rain didn't stop us!  :)

Time for a coffee warm-up at The Sanctuary.

Nice way to end our day in Pella.

Poor Lora kept being 'attacked' by my seat belt in the car on the way
home.  Shonda 'helped' her by taking her photo.  :D

The Marvelous Wonderettes

Back in April Brianna was in the musical production of 'The Marvelous Wonderettes'.  They performed 3 nights over one weekend and I attended two of those.  :)  Friday night included dinner with the show.  We filled our table and enjoyed great company, good food, and a wonderful evening of entertainment.  It was so fun to see Brianna back on a stage and I know she had a wonderful experience.

Then I was back again on Sunday.  This time I was joined by a new crew.  The Sunday performance was a matinee so we went out to lunch at King's Buffet first, then arrived at Jackson Stables for the 2:00 pm show.

The character of Cindy Lou was a lot of fun for Brianna to play.

I love this photo of Brianna!
