March Sojourners Club

This was the last public event that I attended - the March Sojourners Club meeting on March 5, 2020.  I was really looking forward to this presentation and it did not disappoint!  The speaker for March was Amanda Langendoerfer who is the Associate Dean of Libraries for Special Collections and Museums at Truman.  She talked about the Special Collections housed at Pickler Memorial Library.  Included in the collections are Rare Books, a Missouriana Collection, University Archives, Faculty and Alumni Publications, as well as WW1, WW2, and Civil War Collections.  There is also a digital collection available online that includes vintage photographs, manuscripts, yearbooks, The Chariton Collector, and much more.  Amanda and my brother know each other and each has a high regard for the other.  I was really glad to get to hear her speak and meet her afterward.

Cornerstone Baby Shower

This event also took place way back on February 23, 2020... another lifetime ago.  :)  After lunch with family at Rosie's, Hannah and I hurried over to Cornerstone for Brianna's baby shower.  What a lovely afternoon it was.  So thankful we were able to have this time of celebration before everything changed with Covid-19.  Lots of great memories in these photos!  :)

The little boots and shoes as table decorations were so cute!  :)

Dear Hannah was taking photos for me and
I suddenly realized people were leaving...

I wanted Hannah to get pictures of them before they were gone!
She did it!

Yes, I look ridiculous, but I am now swinging around and saying
'Get photos of them!'  hahahahaha!

She did!!  :)  hahaha!

Henley climbed up and asked, "Is there a baby in your belly?"  :)

After the shower Shonda and I helped load up the gifts and take them to Brianna and Jackson's house.  They had gotten the furniture for the nursery (from IKEA) put together.  It looks great!

I have uploaded a bunch of photos from the baby shower at this link.

February Wine Night (Hannah's Birthday)

Hannah's actual birthday fell on Wine Club night.  (2-20-20)  I was soooo sad that I had to miss but I got terrible food poisoning the night before and wasn't able to lift my head off my pillow for about 48 hours.  :(  Dear Judy stepped in and hosted for me and the ladies celebrated Hannah's birthday in style!  I was super glad to get these photos so I could feel like I participated a bit.  :)

These photos were taken at Hannah and Melina's house where Melina was making some yummy gluten free cupcakes for the birthday girl.  These two have had so much fun together as roommates.
