My surgery

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had a complete hysterectomy on Sept. 26.  It required an abdominal incision (that turned out to be larger than I was expecting) and my recovery feels like it is taking forever.  In reality, I know that I am blessed beyond measure and that recovery just takes time and patience.  I am having ample opportunity to practice patience, that is for sure!  :)  I truly am doing well now - over 2 weeks post surgery.  Although I know I still have a ways to go I am getting stronger each and every day.

We went to a chinese restaurant a few days before my surgery and were tickled to see my fortune.  I suppose technically it was accurate, although I might question the definition of 'fun'.   ;)

I cannot say enough good things about the tremendous care that I received at our hospital.  All were caring and extremely competent, making the entire process much easier.

I was quite happy to have a room on the end of the hospital,
providing me with large windows straight ahead.

This man is such a blessing.
He stayed with me the entire time - sleeping in that very chair.

Dear Nancy P. surprised me at the hospital just before my surgery,
bringing me this lovely gift of Larry's roses.

Sooooo, when you awaken in the night in your hospital room and this is what you see...
your mind can really run wild!  Vengence????

In reality, this is what that screen says (daytime view).
But, that screen faces the hospital bed night and day.
Interesting no matter what it says!  :)

The joys of my life.  :)

This was my reward for walking - the view out my
hospital window.  I'll take it!

I received a lovely series of photos from dear Alicia
letting me know they were delivering food to my house.
Loved seeing Kate visiting with Shadow.

Also loved seeing my dear Daddy and Mama.

Thanks to Kate and Alicia for sending me these cheerful photos!
